Hi, I’m Donnie Dahlen—husband, father of six, and the owner and photographer behind Donnie Dahlen Photography.

What started as a passion for photography and a love of sports has grown into a full-time photography business specializing in high-volume youth sports, team and individual photography, and creating an experience that athletes, parents, leagues, and organizations can count on.

Sports have always been a big part of my life, especially baseball. Having played, coached, and spent countless hours around youth sports, I understand that these seasons go by incredibly fast. One minute your child is putting on a uniform for the first time, and before you know it, you’re looking back wondering where the years went.

As a father of six, I understand that on a very personal level.

That’s a huge part of why I do what I do.

Today, Donnie Dahlen Photography works with youth sports leagues, schools, teams, and organizations throughout the region, photographing thousands of athletes every year. My goal is to provide much more than the traditional sports picture. I want athletes to feel like athletes and give families images they’re genuinely excited to hang on the wall, share with friends and family, and keep long after the uniform no longer fits.

From traditional team and individual portraits to dramatic sports images, banners, media days, and custom products, I’m constantly looking for ways to make sports photography more exciting while keeping the entire process simple and organized for leagues and families.

While sports photography has become the heart of my business, my photography doesn't stop on the field. I also photograph seniors, families, weddings, newborns, professional headshots, and other important milestones. No matter what I'm photographing, my philosophy remains the same: create images that mean something.

Photography has given me the opportunity to turn something I love into a career while still being present for what matters most to me—my wife, our six children, and the sports and activities that fill our lives.

I know how quickly life moves because I’m living it, too.
